Mile High Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League,  in partnership with History Colorado & Japanese American Resource Center of Colorado, presents Japanese American Redress:  Learning Lessons and Longings on Sun, Feb 18th at 1pm.

Day of Remembrance 2018 commemorates the 30th anniversary of the Civil Liberties Act which was the offical apology of the United States to the Japanese American people affected by the incarceration. It acknowledges the fundamental injustice of the eviction and provides restitution to the individuals of Japanese ancestry who were incarcerated.

Peggy Nagae, who was the lead attorney for the Yasui v. United States coram nobis case, will lead the discussion on the impact of the Civil Liberties Act signed by President Reagan.

Attendees will have access to the History Colorado museum and exhibits until 5pm on 1/18/18.
